At the European Championships in Madrid, Team Athlet’s Cathia Schär and Adrien Briffod of Vaud each took third place in the Olympic distance.
Catia, who has been swimming with an Orca since this year, finished third, 18 seconds behind Luxembourg’s Jeanne Lehair, after leading until the end of the bike course. Adrien, who also swims on an Orca, also impressed with his form, finishing very close to the lead in the men’s race. It should be noted that wetsuits were not permitted for this event.
The weekend’s results would not be complete without the Triathlon Serie in Zug, where Maxime Furi, also supported by Orca Switzerland, won. Thibaud Decurnex finished sixth in this triathlon, and is gradually returning to form after health problems.
